Coron, Palawan, is a lovely island destination in the Philippines that’s famous for its picture-perfect beaches and natural wonders. It’s one of the best places to go if you want a sun-soaked vacation in Paradise. But with so many attractions and activities, what should make the top of your list?
If you’re planning a visit and aren’t sure where to go first, then you’ve come to the right place. Check out our top four sights to see included in Coron Island Tour A package, and what you can do there. Make them part of your itinerary for an unforgettable vacation!
Kayangan Lake
Photographers, swimmers, and snorkelers should make a stop at Kayangan Lake. This crystal-clear lake is one of only two lakes open for the public to explore here, so bring a camera and marvel at the rock formations.
We highly recommend that you take a guided tour to see all the highlights of Kayangan Lake’s lush beauty. Explore the caves and islets, or get a tour guide to go for a hike – keep your eyes peeled for the cave at the top. Guides will also be useful for asking about the safest spots if you’re thinking about jumping into the lake to swim.
Green Lagoon
Blue waves are a common sight, but imagine the unusual beauty of transparent green water – that’s what’ll greet your eyes when you visit the Green Lagoon. The water is clear and full of fish, making it a pleasant spot for snorkeling and learning about marine life. It’s also shallow and calm, so it’s very safe for swimming.
Don’t forget to snap pictures of the incredible limestone landscapes surrounding the lagoon. Enjoy a packed lunch at one of the thatched huts nearby after a day of swimming, then take in the incredible view. Now that’s paradise!
Sunset Beach
What’s a trip to Coron without spending time at one of its famous beaches? Sunset Beach’s pristine waters are perfect for a cooling dip. Spread out a blanket, take out an umbrella, and relax on the soft white sand surrounded by mangroves.
This is also a great spot for snorkeling because of the clarity of the water, so you can get an incredible look at the underwater wildlife. Just be careful of the occasional sea urchin on the ocean floor.
Take a break at one of the huts and eat some snacks before getting back to your island tour. If you want to spend more time here though, camping is allowed so you can enjoy sleeping under the stars!
CYC Beach
CYC (Corn Youth Club) Beach is a little island in itself tucked away between Busuanga Island and Coron. Just 20 minutes away from the town proper, it’s another beautiful beach where you can enjoy lunch and swim before visiting other islands.
Hire a private boat to reach this beach and have a special lunch prepared with fresh vegetables and local seafood. It helps that CYC Beach is far from most crowds, so you can lounge around in the sand in peace and quiet.
